the Japan Media Arts Festival Executive Committee presents the “

文化庁メディア芸術祭  Japan Media Arts Festival 20th Anniversary Exhibition - Power to Change” 

from October 15, to November 6, 2016 at　3331 Arts Chiyoda and other locations.

Since its inception in 1997, the festival has presented awards to outstanding works in each of its four divisions: Art,　Entertainment, Animation, and Manga. As a comprehensive festival of Media Arts　（Japanese: Media Geijutsu）. It also provides a platform for appreciation of the award-winning and other notable works and has in recent years　been demonstrating its continuing evolution as an established annual international festival.

This year, to mark the festival’s 20th anniversary, with the keyword “change”, four past Jury members have chosen　Award-winning Works and Jury Selections from previous Japan Media Arts Festivals to be exhibited or screened, exemplifying the diverse expressive forms and changing nature of Media Arts over that period.

By tracking 20 years of the festival, this exhibition provides a precious opportunity to fully comprehend　Media Arts as well as the changes and trends in the society, culture, and technology that surround and derive　from it. What is the relationship between these changes and trends and the inherent power of the works?

This exhibition serves as an opportunity to ponder the future of Media Arts as an extension of their “Power to Change”.

文化廳媒體藝術節20週年作品展覽執行委員會將以東京·千代田區的阿斯千代田3331為主，

於2016年10月15日（星期六）至11月6日（星期日）舉辦“文化廳媒體藝術節20週年作品展 - 改變的力量“活動。

文化廳媒體藝術節，自1997年舉辦以來，對藝術，娛樂，動畫和漫畫四個部門中的優秀作品進行表彰，並同時提供鑑賞獲獎作品的機會。它作為媒體藝術的綜合藝術盛會，正朝著國際化的方向發展。為了紀念媒體藝術節20週年而舉辦的本次作品展，以“變化”為主題，展示和上映由曾經做過過評審委員的4位編導選出來的作品，歷屆的獲獎作品，評審委員會推薦的作品等，以此來介紹不斷變化的媒體藝術的各種表現方法。

本次作品展將追尋媒體藝術節20年的歷程，成為讓大家感受和了解媒體藝術及與其有關的社會，文化，技術的「變化」，「潮流」等重要契約。「變化」及「潮流“與作品的內在力量有怎樣的關係呢？此次作品展將會成為人們著眼於作品所有具有”改變的力量“，在其延長線上所展現出來的媒體藝術的未來進行考察的平台中。

未来を生きる君たちへ　In a Better World

デ ンマークに家を持つ医師・アントン。彼はアフリカの難民キャンプで家族と離れて働いているが、キャンプでは貧困から 犯罪が絶えず、心配が絶えない。彼の息子エリアスは学校で執拗ないじめにあっていたが、転校生クリスチャンに標的が移る。しかしクリスチャンは彼らに仕返 しを企み、事態は大きく変化していく・・・。
原題は「復讐」。子どもたちの世界と大人たちの世界の二つの世界に共通する善悪の感情。世界の問題 は根深く一朝一夕ではどうすることもできません が、本作品はその感情を通し、主人公たちが家族・友人との絆を深めていきます。そこがこのヒューマン・シネマ・フェスティバルの趣旨にかなう映画だと思い ました。

灼熱の魂　Incendies

母親を亡くしたばかりの双子の姉弟。母親とは 最後まで心が通わなかったことが、母を亡くした悲しみよりも大きく姉弟の心に影を落としていた。そんな二人に届いた母親からの 遺言。そこには彼女の知られざる過去、そして心ならずも別れ別れになってしまった子どものことが書かれていた。姉弟は、その 遺言に従い、今まで存在を知らなかったもう一人の「母の子ども」に会いに行く決心をする。宗教間、そして民族間の争いで家を、故郷を追われ難民となってし まった母親の過去。子どもたちは足跡を追うようにして母が受けた暴力と悲しみの歴史を追体験する。母親がなぜ自分たちに心を許さなかったのかをようやく姉 弟が理解したとき、彼女がどれだけ子どもたちを愛していたかを知るのだった。

監督・脚本を担当したドゥニ・ヴィルヌーヴは、自身もレバノン周辺のルーツを持ち、独自にアラブ地方の争いを調査し、本作に盛り込みました。衝撃作 としか言えませんが、つらく悲しい思いをした人がそれを乗り越えて得る強さ、そしてまたそれでも人を愛していけるというところが、この映画祭の趣旨に基づ くのではないかと思います。

すぐそばにいたTOMODACHI

年3月の東日本大震災をうけて95人のビルマ（ミャンマー）難民がボランティアグループを立ち上げた。日本における 自分たちの立場が厳しいものであるにもかかわらず、彼らは一体なぜ被災地へと向かったのか。カメラは祖国に母親を残して日本にやってきた一人の若い女性を 追う。

アルゼンチン・ブエノスアイレス生まれの監督北島は、彼女自身幼い頃から外国で育っていたため、生まれたときから住んでいる国の中で感じる“外国 人としての疎外感”を強く意識していました。日本に帰国後、彼女は在日という存在に強烈な共感を覚えます。中でもミャンマーから亡命してきた難民たちのこ とをドキュメンタリーにしたいと考えていた矢先、昨年の震災が起き、彼らが被災地へのボランティアを希望するのを目の当たりにするのでした。本作は図らず して撮られた奇跡のドキュメンタリーです。

 狭山丘陵は 『となりのトトロ』の舞台のモデルになったと言われています。

 トトロのふるさと 狭山丘陵は首都圏に残された緑の孤島。

ここに残された里山の風景を私たちは守り伝えたいのです。

東京と埼玉にまたがって広がる狭山丘陵は、

映画『となりのトトロ』の舞台となった場所といわれています。映画を思わせる風景や地名があることから「トトロの森」と呼ばれるようになりました。
たとえば、映画の中でお母さんが入院していた『七国山病院』。

狭山丘陵には「八国山緑地」という場所があり、そこには病院もあるのです。

 

 Sayama Hills is located about 40km from the Tokyo metropolitan area, in an area overlapping Tokyo and Saitama provinces, Sayama is a lush hill of greenery.  

Bio-cultural preservation efforts at Sayama Hills have been in place since the 1970s.  As a result, most of the natural habitats in the hills have been protected.  However, due to urban and leisure facility development, destruction of the habitat, through deforestation and illegal dumping, is clearly visible.

In April of 1990, due to the efforts contributors - film director Hayao Miyazaki, a large amount of donations were received from all across Japan.

The in honor of Mr. Miyazaki, Sayama Hills is known as the inspiration of Mr.Hayao Miyazaki’s animation masterpiece, “Tonari no Totoro (My Neighbor Totoro, 1988)” which use the Sayama Hills as the background of “Tonari no Totoro".

日本著名動畫大師宮崎駿因為居住在狹山 (距離東京都僅40公里) 附近，

而早期創作的動畫「龍貓」森 林場景即是以狹山地區為構思藍圖，

該電影主要是敘述因為社會經濟成長過程中，人們失去的重要東西，

包含了與自然共生的愉悅和踏實，以及一份屬於家鄉的生活 感，

故龍貓故鄉基金會為了號召更多有心於環境保護的民眾，

乃於宮崎駿及其夫人討論決定將狹山丘陵命名為 "龍貓森林"，

藉由保護狹山地區的自然環境，尋回被大家 所遺落的昔日美好生活。

『熈代勝覧』（きだいしょうらん）KiDaiSyouRan (Edo's Manga ^_~)

The Japanese Drawing Scroll of the stories around Nihonbashi in Edo, painted in 1805...43.7cm (wide) x 1232.2 cm (long)...now you can have a look at the copy version in Mitsukoshi-mae Station, Tokyo.

熙代勝覧 （1805年）是一幅很長很長的卷畫 (江戶漫畫 ^_~)，畫中描出江戶時代日本橋附近的人生百態, 寬43厘米 長1232厘米，複製品現在 東京三越前站 的地下通路展出。

由 日本橋畫到神田的今川橋，看到富士山及皇宮，當中的呉服店越後屋就是位於現在三越百貨, 畫中有88間店，1671人，其中200人是女性, 還有20狗 13馬 4牛 1鷹 1猴子等。人物畫得很生動，如小朋友不愛上學堂，抬著學堂用的長椅的父親緊緊拖著。或是美人小姐身邊的男性全都看著她，忘了看路。很有趣！

Started from Nihonbashi to Imagawa Bridge, Kanda....you can see the Mt. Fuji and the Imperial Palace in it...Edo Echigoya dry-goods store was located at Mitsukoshi Department Store...inside the painting...there have 88 stores, 1671 people (200 - female), dogs x 20, cows x 4, horse x 13, eagle x 2 and monkey x1...those people were so lively...like a kid rejected to go to school, his dad who carried a bench force him to go...men forgot to walk and stared at a beautiful maiden...so interesting! ^0^

The Early blooming Sakura in Kawazu, Izu Japan...Pink plus yellow really fit the image of Japanese Kawaii! ^0^
The Sakura and Rape flower are blooming around the riverside since 1966...just 5 mins walk from Kawazu Station...better be there as early as possible...after ten...will be filled up with tourists of bus tours...last year we were been there around 8am...then took a bus to Izu Dancer walking pathway to see the seven falls...must try the pig hotpot (use local Amagigoe pig，Amagigoe is one of top 3 Japanese wild boar producing area )...the strong taste miso basic soup really can warm your body! We took the free foot onsen and have a look at the original sakura tree before we went home...a nice and refresh trip to see the beautiful creation in the winter ^0^

伊豆河津的櫻花及油菜花在一月底就開花迎春...粉紅加黃很有日本式可愛的感覺! ^0^
河 津町的飯田家在1955年種了第一顆櫻原木...1966年河津櫻第一次開花! 一定要早早去...十點後遊客就大量湧入...賞完花拍夠照...就坐巴士去看伊豆無孃及七瀑布...吃了味濃濃的味噌猪鍋 (是用本地伊豆天城的野猪，天城是日本三大野猪產地之一)...猪字在日本有野獸的意思...家猪會用"豚"....走之前去浸了無料的足湯...所以記 得帶毛巾...腳暖暖心也暖暖...又大飽大自然創造的眼福...美麗的一天...疲累也消失了!
