大森ふるさと海苔館

Omori Nori Museum  ( Seaweed Museum)

Nori (のり海苔) is the seaweed in Japanese.  Nori is well known as the outer wrap on many types of Sushi. 

Do you know Haneda airport of Tokyo was built on Seaweed farm? Farming of Nori on the seaside of Ota city (the area where Haneda airport located) became active around 300 years ago, Edo period.

Sticks of wood or bamboo poles are stuck in shallow water support nets at the surface in autumn, nori grows on the nets. Harvesting begins in December. Nori is cut off of the net or stick it grows on, leaving a portion of the seaweed behind to regrow.Nori farmers pick up Nori with boat on the sticks , chopped, framed on bamboo mat, thin sheets like paper of Nori onto a rack and dry under the sun. 

Ota city had shallow sea which are suitable for harvesting Nori and it soon became a major producer of Nori. Also be praised as The Best dried Nori. Then the nori farming technology spreaded across all over Japan from there. 

However in December 1962, Nori framers agreed to reclaim farming places for development of Tokyo Port. The history of 300 years nori farming came to an end.

This FREE museum has exhibits showing the history of Oota City's Nori and other local industries. You can also get hands on experience in making seaweed. With living things on display and an 'olden times' play corner the whole family will have fun. Can try on the different hieght wooden slippers of Nori farmers too. 

Additionally, at the adjacent Oomori Furusato Hamabe Park you can play on the beach, in the water, or simply take a stroll. The Oomori Coast of ancient times is revived at Hamabe Park, Tokyo's first park to have a man-made beach. Very close to Haneda Airport, good for half day trip.

大森ふるさと海苔館 Omori Nori Museum ( Seaweed Museum 海苔或紫菜的家鄉博物館) 。原來羽田機場以前是養植海苔。博物館介紹海苔歷史，可以扮海苔農民古人拍照，又可以試穿2尺高木屐。很近機場，一家大小半日遊，免費入場。附近還有個人造白砂灘及公園。

Mount Takao is in Hachioji City on the edge of the mountains of the southeastern Kanto region, 

about 50 kilometers from the center of Tokyo. This convenient location lets visitors enjoy refreshing natural surroundings and many other attractions in a single day trip. 

In recognition of their magnificent beauty, Michelin's Le Guide Vert Japon, 

 the famous French travel guidebook, has awarded Mt. Takao and Mt. Fuji its maximum rating of three stars for several years running.
  Visitors can climb Mt. Takao by cable car or lift to approximately 400 meters, 

or about halfway up the mountain. 

They can also climb to the top along one of several trails, each of which takes about 90 minutes.

Take Keio Line at Shinjuku Station to Takaosanguchi Station, the quickest is 47mins.

If you take JR, please change Keio Line at Takaosan Station.

京王線で新宿から高尾山口駅まで、最速４７分

東京都八王子市に属する「高尾山」は、関東山地の東南、

都心から約５０キロメートルに位置しています。
都心からの交通の便にも恵まれ、日帰りでもゆっくりと山歩きが楽しめる国定公園で

平成19年に富士山と並んでミシュランの三ツ星に指定された素晴らしい山です。

　山麓からはケーブルカー、

リフトで中腹の海抜472メートル付近まで登ることができます。
また歩いて登る道も３ルートありますが、

いずれのルートも１時間３０分ほどで山頂に達することができます。

有天突然想去看看綠葉森林，想好就換上運動服太陽帽，出發去爬山！

高尾山是很近東京，如坐京王線由新宿出發到高尾山口駅，最快才47分鐘！

但如果坐JR中央線快速車到高尾駅，就要在高尾駅轉搭京王線坐一站到高尾山口駅 ，

一出站，行幾步，就可以開始行山！超方便。

現代化行山，只買了一瓶水及一些地道小食就出發了，

因山頂有餐廰又有小食部，不用擔心無水或餓。

出發前，先要選選適合你的路徑，1-6號加稻荷山徑，高尾陣馬山徑。

雖是第一次，我真想的行山，就選了6號上山，稻荷山徑下山。

6號徑真是充滿驚喜， 有樹林有橋又有踏石頭沿河上的小路，太好玩了，

但最後百階梯就有點辛苦！

最好穿波鞋或行山鞋。看到外國人穿涼鞋拖鞋，行得很辛苦又危險。

 稻荷山徑也很多斜路，可能前幾天下雨，很滑！

但我看到強勁登山選手，用高速左跳右跨在我身邊如風經過，

我就要小小翼翼，差點滑到幾次。 

 朋友說1號 比較現在化，有石板路，適會穿普通鞋的遊客。

熱愛大自然但無力人士，就去清滝站坐登車覧車到半山頂高尾山站，

沿2號徑繞山一小圈，很平坦，看看富士山，之後吃下自助餐。

如還有力，就由1號或4號上山頂不太難行，但行石級上山也有一定情度的辛苦。

3號就是有森林，可能難行些。

用了差不多四小時上山下山吃飯，感覺上還輕鬆，

高尾山真適合初級行山者！

The restoration of Café1894 was based on the pictures and drawings of

The Hara Museum of Contemporary Art 

was founded in 1979 in the Shinagawa district of Tokyo 

as one of the first contemporary art museums in Japan. 

It locates close to Shinagawa Station.

Originally constructed as a private residence in 1938, 

the building is one of the representative works by Jin Watanabe, 

who is also known for his design of the Tokyo National Museum. 

It is one of rare examples of early-Showa period architecture, 

which adopted the European architectural style of the early 20th century.

This Hara Museum has another museum, Hara Museum ARC, in Gunma.

原美術館は、東京都品川区北品川にある、

原俊夫が設立した現代美術を中心とした私立美術館である。

JR品川駅から車で5分ほどの住宅街のなかにある原美術館は、

東京ガス会長、日本航空会長、帝都高速度交通営団（営団地下鉄）

総裁などを歴任した実業家原邦造の邸宅であった。

原邦造の養父の原六郎も実業家、美術品収集家として知られている。

現在、原美術館として活用されている瀟洒な邸宅は、

渡辺仁の設計で昭和13年（1938年）竣工したもの。

原美術館は、財団法人アルカンシェール美術財団を母体として

昭和54年（1979年）に開館した。

有80年歴史的新宿 伊勢丹百貨，近地面的幾層新裝修後，真的感覺全變了。

現代的風格，寬闊的展示空間，花店旁有著小酒吧及cafe，

好像入了時尚美術館，吸引多了很多年青的視線。

不太愛購物的我，也專程去參觀，

由都市建築師丹下憲孝及室內設計師森田恭通負責的改裝新店。

聽聞森田設計師的超創思維，開始時員工們都不太接受，

但社長大西洋堅持下，大家互相溝通後，工事順利進行。

New Open after renovation, the Isetan, Shinjuku is looked like modern museum. 

All because of the interior designer, Yasumichi Morita' super impressible idea. 

I am not interested about shopping...but went to see the interior design...as I knew...the staffs of Isetan were not quite took the idea of Morita San at first...anyway...the new shop is looked great!! 

改装した後新規オープン、新宿伊勢丹は現代美術館のように見えている。
